In The Stereo, 2001

Installation to Trevi Flash Art Museum, Italy, for exhibition "Single Room", curated by Lorella Scacco. The work consists of cardboard piece sculptures and objects, two videos and a soundmix. Video monitors were situated on the opposite ends of the work:The first video shows cardboard pieces appearing on a red background and slowly filling the monitor area. Other video shows how a cardboard installation disappears from exhibition room piece by piece.Soundmix has occasional sounds and voices that are short and can be heard after 1,3 or 5 minutes silent periods. The work describes movement between building and breaking up structures, both actions happening at the same time. Silent videos give feeling of somebodys presence to cardboard pieces although whose presence, stays unclear. Occasional loud voices were ment to disturb the viewer of the installation, movement in the stereo field is related to movement in forms and videos.
