OfficeOffice, 2002

OfficeOffice is an installation made to Profounders-gallery and culture production office 9-29.9.2002. The function of the office, it's fittings and the people working in it are the subject of this installation. The gallery-side of the space has an abstracted duplication of the real office. Voices of the workers in the office are conducted via microphones to the loudspeakers which are hidden inside the heads of the sculpted figures in the gallery. The abstracted figures are speaking when someone in the office makes voices nearby the microphones. Most of the frequencies of the voices are filtered out, so the speech of the staff has lost the sound of human voice. The real office is the realistic part of this work during the exhibition, the space built by the artist compares to the office space. "Officeoffice lifts up some proportions, colours and frequencies from the everyday life of Profounders office. The atmosphere of this work comes from showing at the same time the real office and the space which derives from it.
